Operations for THE HEIMBURG GROUP, Inc. started on February 9, 2008. The firm is prequalified by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in all of its highway design categories, including:

- 13.5 Subarea/Corridor Planning
THG has “unlimited” contracting authority with the FDOT. On August 1, 2008, the firm moved to its current location to accommodate planned growth. The firm is a certified under the Florida Unified Certification Program as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) in accordance with Part 49, Section 26, Code of Federal Regulations, and as a Minority, Women & Service-Disabled Veteran Business under the provisions of 287 and 295.187 of the Florida Statutes.
